Need Ideas for Blogging Wire Blog Contest

March 4, 2010 in Blogging Contest by Bishwajeet Mahato

Hey guys what’s up with you, it has been a great experience out here after taking up the ownership from Brian. I have really been elated by the bloggers present out here.

The number of visitors is increasing daily and I am very happy about it. Also we are getting traffic from search engines, which is good for your blogs. I will also write about SEO and other strategies to gain maximum traffic for your blog.

The way we are going right now, I think we might break the Alexa top 100k barrier within next 15 days. Isn’t that will be great for Blogging Wire?

Btw, I am thinking of starting a Blogging Wire Blog contest out here so as to increase Blogging activities on Blogging Wire. I don’t know what will be the suitable prize for the winners, so please let me know your ideas. I have two contests in my mind for the time being:

  • Best Blogger of Blogging Wire of a month
  • Best Blog Post of Blogging Wire for a particular month

I will also try to get in some sponsors to award good prizes for the bloggers. Also ,if someone wants to sponsor this contest ,please let us know.

SEO extensions for Google Chrome for bloggers

March 3, 2010 in SEO by Bishwajeet Mahato

If you are a blogger and using Google Chrome ,most of the time you might need to check whether your link exchange, backlink is nofollow or dofollow. You might even want to check number of incoming links, outgoing link to a particular page of a website. Sometimes ago I wrote about how to check nofollow links in Google Chrome in my Computer Talks blog and usage.

But, shortly after that Google Chrome allowed the use of extensions in Chrome. So, for the bloggers and webmasters there are two must have SEO extensions of Google Chrome:

1. Chrome SEO .

Chrome SEO is quite useful to identify the nofollow links, whenever you want to know whether the links are nofollow or dofollow ,just click on the check nofollow and you will get all the nofollow links. It also analyzes the backlinks and gives you proper information.

A must for a blogger, so if you use Google Chrome,do use it.

2. SEO quake plugin : If you are blogger from a long tme you must have used this extension in Mozilla Firefox and even if you havn’t used it yet, give it a try as it is the best SEO extension I have ever tried, it gives complete details about several SEO stuff and you will see the data whenever you open a site.

So, hopefully this will help you.

How to import your twitter contacts to Google Buzz

March 2, 2010 in Google Buzz, Twitter by Bishwajeet Mahato

Few days back I wrote about Why Google Buzz is going to be popular in countries like India , where gmail is the chief email provider. But the problem is the in Google Buzz you only have followers which are in your contact list and sometimes you may want o import all your Twitter contacts so that you never have to login again to Twitter.

Here’s the official video of Buzz:

YouTube Preview Image

Today, I found a great tool Tw2Buzz which helps in importing your twitter contacts to Google  Buzz and then follow them in Buzz as well.

Here’s how I got it.

Since, it is in Beta Invitation mode , so I ll be giving 50 invite codes to Blogging Wire Users. All those who are not blogging wire users, register here and then request for a code and I ll send you.

BloggingWire has a new Owner

February 26, 2010 in Blogging Wire by Bishwajeet Mahato

I got some sad news I will be leaving blogging wire as the website owner. I’m just so busy with Blog Engage I cannot keep up and I feel I’m letting you all down. For this reason and without reconsidering I have sold blogging wire.

I always have friends in mind so with the sell of blogging wire I have stipulated the site must remain as is without any altering of software or website content. The new owner is name theworldwinner so with this change please expect some downtime during DNS resolve. This is normally fast but can take up to 24 hours.

The buyer has agreed to keep the community alive and will manage with respect and the members in mind. If for any reason the new owner decided to change the website he has agreed to allow for 15 days to move all your content to your word press or self hosted blogs.

Thanks,

Brian

Blogging Wire Advertising Plugin

January 31, 2010 in Blogging, Blogging Wire, Plugins, Revenues by Bishwajeet Mahato

Due to users experiencing issues with our last Advertising Plugin I was left with no choice but to remove it an add another one you can use. It’s very easy to use but does require a little bit of setting up. Ads must always be within your posts. Must be in HTML mode

The option is easy and it looks great. I recommend setting it up as follows for a 468 by 60 ad space. Make sure to center your ads so they look good. You can see how I add the center tags in this image. Add you code and select import. Create a unique name to remember it by.

The center tags make your ads look and fit better. Do as you wish and enjoy the new options. I think this plugin will result in more clicks as you get great ad placement.

If you have any questions simply ask here.

Thanks,

Brian

Make money with your blogging wire blog

January 27, 2010 in Revenues by Bishwajeet Mahato

I bet you’re all wondering how you can start earning with your blogging wire account aren’t you? I have a few suggestions I’m going to make today that should help you increase your generated revenues from blogging wire. Between my suggestions and our SEO here on blogging wire you should do fine.

Making money with Never Blue Ads is actually more simple then you think. Never Blue has invested a lot of money into their ad rotator system which helps us target many ads from one code placement. What I was hoping to do today was walk you through the rotator management system they currently have and help you understand how to use it.

What I liked the most about NeverBlue is how they make it nice and simple to see what your earnings are. I think this is important as many ad companies make it a pain in the ass to see what you made to date or over a specific time period.

The system allows for you to run multiple rotators maximizing your productivity allowing you to spend time on your blog where it matters most. With unlimited tools and resources NeverBlue really is a great tool for bloggers. Unlike other major ad companies NeverBlue offers RSS feeds ads, Web Services and API’s, Commission Based Referral program and more.

I extend my apologies to our members

January 26, 2010 in Blogging Wire by Bishwajeet Mahato

I wanted to give a formal apology to all our members here at blogging wire for our downtime over the past 24 hours. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused and promise I will do my best to ensure the up time of our community. Please rest assured I truly understand the importance of your blog and I respect fully your disappointment when you couldn’t access it.

With the support of the WPMU and Buddy Press community we have managed to successfully fix the time stamp issues on the main site while at the same time upgrade to the newest and greatest release of buddy press.

I do how ever have some unfortunate news regarding our custom template. It’s no longer compatible with the software therefore we will be using the default buddy press theme for a few weeks. Many new features and functions have been added that our old template was not designed for.

The template designers state clearly they are working on a new release and I will keep you updates with that progress as I get more feedback.

In order to access the forums you have to go through the actual group the forums belonged to. I created a support thread and will have this fixed ASAP.

Thanks,

Brian
