Cancer Vaccine on Trial
Vaccine containing traces of a protein called telomerase is on trial in case of pancreatic cancer.Telomerase is the enzyme responsible to keep up the ends of chromosomes, called telomere intact. Telomere is something like the ends of shoe lace. As telomere shortens by repeated cell division, telomerase tries to keep the length intact; a key to remain always young and cheat death. So, if no telomerase for cancer cells, those will die shortly.

Early Exercise in a Stable Patient after Heart Attack is Better
It is typically advised to a patient of heart attack after the recovery to rest for at least for one month. That is also true after interventional therapy in form of stenting.
Now researchers advise the sooner the exercise the better is the outcome in a stable patient recovering from heart attack. The new study by researchers at the University of Alberta shows that for best results in stable patients after a heart attack, early exercise as well as prolonged exercise is the key to the best outcomes.

Office Based Workouts
Doing something is better than doing nothing. Standing for a while also requires more energy spending than sitting, because muscles have to do this and those will need fuel.

Increase Curiosity in Women. They will search more about you, the article says.
‘He loves me, he loves me not…’: Women are more attracted to men whose feelings are unclear
|
| Are you still looking for a date for Valentine’s Day? Here’s some dating advice straight from the laboratory: It turns out there may be something to “playing hard to get.” A study published in Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science, finds that a woman is more attracted to a man when she is uncertain about how much he likes her. |
| As other research has found, women who believed the men liked them a lot were more attracted to the men than women who thought the men liked them only an average amount. However, the women who found the men most attractive were the ones who weren’t sure whether those men were into them or not. |

Somehow, I am allergic to listen, “This is difficult; Not possible”; without trying for it, till exhausted. When I started reading the article, I got struck in the first paragraph itself, that is clipped.
When we campaign for quitting smoking an article should begin with affirmative note; something like, “it is not difficult to quit smoking”.
I know many people who left smoking and even drinking without depending on any supportive drug for that. It is the matter of your determination, that counts a lot.
By recommending a substitute that contains the same ingredient, nicotine in case of tobacco smoking, we give the person another thing, to which he/she may get habituated. That is dangerous and again does not fulfil our purpose. That only promotes another brand of nicotine.
I would like to say, most of the things, if not everything are possible. It is the die hard who succeeds. We must develop a self confidence, not over confidence; that it is possible on my part.
Nicorette – Quitting Smoking Possible In India
|
Smoking is injurious to health. Everyone knows about this and the warning is also provided on the cigarette boxes. But the fact is, once you start smoking, you are addicted to it and no matter how hard you try, it is difficult to quit smoking. Once you get nicotine cravings, you have to smoke. |
