Thanks Bishwajeet.
Yes, we have to keep those search engines fed. Blogging is a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well. I think it is a much broader experience than many realize.

You really have some good content out here, never seen this post before. Good work mate. As a tech blogger I know what daily producing content means, more content is directly proportional to more content for search engines and more traffic

Your tips are well placed, John. Those things do work well, particularly staying persistent.

I often don't have a second set of eyes to glance over my posts, but what I do is preview it in a browser and read it, makes it look totally different and I find that I see things that were not apparent before.

I feel compelled to leave a comment based on Tip #5 :)

I'll add two things that have worked for me - the first is persistence. This aligns well with your first tip of writing daily, however in addition to increasing quality it also helps build momentum which once started takes on a life of its own.

The second thing that has worked for me is to run my post by a second set of eyes. This usually takes all of ten minutes and helps with proofing as well as clarifying ideas. Again, this shouldn't slow down your process as blogging is pretty informal in general, however I have found it works well.

Hi Samantha.

Monitoring the two resources in # 9 above will let you know what is trending currently as they a real-time search engines, or you can always search for a specific word or term.

There is also http://www.blogpulse.com/. Depending on the topic, and I assume you mean blog related, there are a good number of tools available.

Great tips! It's so hard writing every day, especially when we bloggers are so scattered around the web on so many projects.

Do you have any tips on how to stay on top of trends? I find myself so strapped for time that when it comes to promoting or social networking I'm usually playing catch up.
